The Brea experience was top shelf from beginning to the end. We happened upon this spot after touring Stirling Castle. Usually we do a ton of research, but we were in a rush, and we picked this place based on his gluten friendly options and then headed off to a hiking adventure. Little did we know we were in for a wonderful culinary experience. The drinks, the food, the dessert, as well as the service were all above board. Emily was our guide this night and gave us wonderful attention. She was knowledgeable and friendly and extremely good at helping us choose drinks and food. Normally, when I am in Scotland, I choose the haggis dish, but there was something about the steak burger that drew me in, and I’m glad I allowed Emily to steer me towards it. It was cooked to perfection and didn’t require even the slightest addition of spices and/or ketchup. And the skinny chips/fries were cooked to perfection! My partner thoroughly enjoyed the gluten free pesto and mushroom risotto. For dessert, the sticky toffee was out of this world, as was the Cranachan. I can’t remember the name of my drink, but it was a sour whiskey cocktail and it was excellent. I can’t recommend this place more highly!

If you’re looking for a great meal in Stirling, Brea is a must-visit. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and made with fresh local ingredients. We enjoyed traditional Scottish dishes with a modern touch, and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Easily one of our favorite dining experiences in Scotland. Highly recommended! Brea - Scottish Restaurant

A beautiful local restaurant located moments away from the castle. The food here is made fresh in house with local ingredients. We live in London, so it's great to finally taste some real flavours. The portions are quite generous, but not very cheap either. I guess good value fir money overall if you consider you're getting quality ingredients. I had the soup of the day which was made of sweet potato, chilli and mascarpone cheese which was creamy and flavoursome. For main course I ordered the lamb shank which again was very tasty and a very big portion. My friends and wife had selection of starers and then desserts. Overall, a great lunch with great company and food! :) Strongly recommend the place!
