Authentic Stories from Diners
Upon reccomendation from a lovely barman at the Loch Lamond Arms, (as we were staying in Arrochar for the night), we headed to CuMara for dinner. We thought the inside was gorgeously decorated and it immediately gave you a fun/ waterside atmosphere. The food was really beautifully presented and tasted scrumptious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Highly reccomend stopping in
We came here as we were staying in the area and the reviews speak for themself! Absolutely amazing. Great food, great atmosphere and service. I would definitely reccomend and I would also advise to book a table.
🦪 A small blue bistro on the edge of Loch Long that punches well above its weight. Doesn't look like much from the outside - which is partly why it's so good when you get in. 🍽️ The mussels are the move. A proper bowlful, fresh and well-cooked, with fries on the side and Loch Long sitting right outside the window while you eat them. Hard to argue with that as a combination. 🍕 The menu covers more ground than you'd expect for the size of the place - pizza, soup, burgers - and the quality holds up across the board. Reviewers have gone as far as calling the burgers among the best in the UK, which is a bold claim for Arrochar, but the 4.8 rating suggests they're not entirely wrong. 🚪 Opens at 4pm on weekdays so plan accordingly - it's an evening spot rather than a lunch stop, and it fills up fast once it does open. Book ahead without question. 🌊 The takeaway counter has views of Loch Long and the cobbler mountain while you wait, which is a better view than most restaurants manage from their best table. 📍 Exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble across on a Scottish road trip and rarely do. Don't miss it.
