Loch Lomond Arms

We went here as part of a mystery tour so could not book it. There was a number of us. we only had an hour or so, so we couldn't wait for a booking to be made. They did supply, bread, olives and chips. They didn't have some of the drinks we offered but after a little wait, they managed to get the drinks. which we were please on both counts. It's lovely seating area outside and the young waiting staff were good. The Loch Lomond Arms did well under the circumstances. Next time I would book ahead if I could. I cannot comment on cost as most people had an alcoholic drink and the bill was evenly split between us.

We were welcomed immediately and shown to our table. We had booked which is recommended as we saw others get turned away. The food came out very quickly and was very hot. It was all delicious. I’d recommend the haggis tatties and neeps with whisky sauce. Delicious.

We came for dinner only, so I can’t comment on the accommodation. A lovely cosy pub setting with restaurant quality food. The scallop starter with celeriac puree and bacon/black pudding crumb was divine. I opted for the special for main course, mussels with chorizo and tomato. Very enjoyable and the wine menu, while not extensive, was excellent. Good service and I would recommend!
