Authentic Stories from Diners
As we're staying at Castle Lodges Loch lomond and the Cruin restaurant is on site we booked a table for our first nights stay. We weren't disappointed by the setting of the restaurant looking out onto Loch lomond awesome. We were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our table right at the window looking out to the Loch. We ordered the wine 🍷 🍷then our mains, the Home made stake pie was cooked to perfection 👌 the macaroni was also delicious 😋, both dishes were well presented hot and very tasty. Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful, and polite. We will be back " as Arnie said "... We did return. And once more we weren't disappointed the food and service was amazing. Sadly we return home tomorrow but we leave with fantastic memories of our visit.
Love this place, got married here in 2019, was so happy to hear the restaurant was back open. I got treated for mother's day, had a lovely meal, couldn't fault it. We did have a fussy teenager with us that wouldn't eat anything off the set menu, so he asked for a bowl of chips and cheese which was no issue. We did have to ask for cutlery a couple of times but staff were lovely. Can't wait to come back here!
We went for dinner on opening weekend, and can honestly say everything was outstanding. Such a lovely setting, we received a very warm welcome from the team & the service was superb throughout. The food was all fresh and very well cooked! We were offered complimentary bread to start & a pallet cleanser at the end of our meal which were lovely touches. We ordered a few specials to try, these were the Scallops, Roast Pork & Beef Wellington - all delicious with the Beef Wellington being the stand out dish of the evening. The beef croquettes & burger from the à la carte menu were also very good! The prices are very reasonable, with generous portion sizes, good quality ingredients & excellent service. Thank you to the team, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!
