The Old Bank Restaurant

A decent wee find and I must say, it stood out in a street where there were lots of options for a quick bite. It was mobbed and it's not so large a place but not a minuter went by while we were in, that folk didn't come in and have to be turned away due to lack of tables. Take this as a positive as to how well thought of the place must be but if I were the owners, I'd certainly be trying to think of ways to increase seating capacity. The food was decent, I had fish and chips and found it to be a decent portion at a pretty standard rate. Service was pretty quick, considering how busy it was and the place was very autism friendly, which was a bonus. Parking probably wouldn't be an issue as there was a pay and display car park within walking distance, pretty much across the road actually.

This was a great refuge from the soaking wet day. Courteous staff, Fresh ingredients, and cooked perfectly. Very popular and well deserved. Got the Mac n cheese and soup of the day which was carrot coriander. Both were great.

Popped in here for dinner, on the way back to Glasgow from a day out at The Trossachs. Had a very big & filling meal. Portion size is excellent. Staff pleasant. Restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday at late afternoon, when it was such a good day. Burgers were proper butcher meat. I had the ale and steak pie, came with chips and loads of vegetables. Would recommend. Thankyou
