Authentic Stories from Diners
We had the Sunday menu and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the prawn tails starter, you get a very generous portion. The beef roast dinner and the ginger cake are both delicious. The view is amazing over the loch and the staff are very friendly. We will definetly visit again next time we are in the trossachs!
Our wedding at Venachar Lochside was everything we could have hoped for and more. From start to finish, the entire experience was flawless. The venue itself was set up perfectly, exactly how we had envisioned. Having access the day before made such a difference, giving us the freedom to add all the personal touches we wanted without feeling rushed. The team were truly exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request was met with warmth and enthusiasm. We were made to feel completely at ease throughout, knowing everything was in safe hands. Sue was fantastic from our very first visit, through all the planning meetings, and right up to the ceremony. She ensured every detail was covered and constantly reassured us that we didn’t need to worry about a thing - which made the whole process so much more enjoyable. Kyla was equally incredible. From the food tasting evening, where she made us feel instantly at home, to helping with setup the day before and being there throughout the wedding itself, she went above and beyond. Always smiling, always approachable, and always ready to help, she played such a big part in making our day so special. Whether it was handling small details or bigger moments, she made sure we could truly relax and enjoy every second. She even joined in the fun and had a (slightly forced!) dance with my maid of honour, which perfectly sums up how involved and genuine she was. The food was absolutely amazing and something our guests are still talking about. We loved that everything was made using seasonal produce, which made it feel even more special, and the wedding cake was equally incredible. Every single member of the team was amazing. They didn’t just feel like staff on the day, they felt like part of our wedding. That’s something we will always remember. We couldn’t recommend Venachar Lochside more highly. Love, Sophie & Laura x
The setting is what really makes this place. It's rustic but sophisticated inside and the views are incredible. It's the experience that makes it. The food was really lovely but expensive (we went as a family of 4 for lunch with two teenage boys). It's probably more tailored to adults/couples but I'm so glad we went.
